Ahi Lollipops

This a great little hors d’oeuvre for passing. The flavors are wonderful and it’s a fun way to serve passed hors d’oeuvres

Ingredients

Yield: 10 Portions

10 each - 1"x1"x1" cubes of very fresh Ahi Tuna
1/2 Cup - dipping sauce
1/4 Cup - salt
1/2 Cup - sugar
1/2 Cup - black and white sesame seeds mixed together
10 - cinnamon sticks

Dipping Sauce for Ahi:

1 1/2 Cup - Soy Sauce
1 1/2 Cup - Sweet Saki
1 1/2 Cup - Granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix the salt and sugar together.
  2. Coat the Ahi in the salt sugar Mix and sear each side in a very hot pan.
  3. Skewer each cube with a cinnamon stick and dip into the sauce
  4. Roll each cube with the sesame seeds.

    Dipping Sauce for Ahi:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a double boiler and reduce to 1/2 cup liquid.
